Scope of work:
The controlled demolition of existing buildings and design and construction of a new build infant classroom block.

Works included extensive reconstruction and refurbishment works to the primary hall, classrooms, toilets and reception areas. This contract was designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of ’Very Good’.

Construction works were phased during the project to ensure the existing school remained functional during term times and that pupils were not disrupted in any way.

Heavy contribution to H&S planning and access strategies were required to ensure the safety of staff, pupils and the public at all times during the project.

The scheme also included natural ventilation units to new build infant classrooms, timber external canopy with polycarbonate roof, curtain walling and widespread external finishes, furniture, fencing and landscaping works.

The new classroom included interactive teaching aids, bathrooms and kitchen prep space. Following completion of the new classroom block we demolished and landscaped the former infants site.
