Alteration and refurbishment of rooms and corridors to form a simulated hospital ward with eight bed stations, a midwifery birthing room and a basic-skills teaching lab, as well as the creation of an Open Access Learning Space and PC Laboratory.

In total, 22 Rooms and two main circulation routes in D and E Blocks were refurbished during the project, as well as associated stores, offices and toilets.

The creation of the Open Access Learning Space and PC Laboratory included the alteration and refurbishment of five rooms and a corridor formerly occupied by the NHS to provide a dual purpose IT teaching space/ PC lab, an Open Access Learning Zone and an IT Support Helpdesk.

Extensive mechanical ventilation systems were installed as well as IT requirements for the interactive simulation mannequins.

Our ability to achieve clinical standard finishes and integrate a number of complex services drew praise from our client.
