Key Facts

Value:
£2.2m
Sector:
Programme:
32 Weeks
Scope of work:
Building window replacement and façade upgrades, remodelling of the main entrance and refurbishment of internal laboratory spaces.

This challenging project involved B&S  working closely with end users to gain access and coordinate works within a live building environment.

The Façade upgrade included the installation of Brise Soleil structures on all south facing windows.

Internal works included a new heating system within the main building and complete refurbishment of two large materials laboratories.

The building was further enhanced by a new open plan entrance area for the University. The main entrance remodeling was undertaken while still maintaining public access to the building.

The site setup was located within the very busy University Precinct meaning extra care was taken with regard to deliveries and H&S on site. We are pleased to have significantly improved both the functional performance and aesthetic look of the building.
